How We Met & Got Engaged

We first met at a kick‑back in March 2022 — just a relaxed evening with friends, music, and laughter. When I saw you that night, your smile, your energy, and the way you engaged with everyone caught my eye. We started talking, and before the night ended, I felt like something meaningful was starting.

Over the next weeks, we went on a few dates: simple, genuine moments where we shared stories, hopes, laughs, and even vulnerabilities. Very quickly, more than romantic interest, we became the best of friends. We would call or text just to check in, hang out doing everyday things, and our comfort with each other grew in ways I didn’t even expect so soon.

In June (for my birthday), he surprised me with a trip. It was full of thoughtfulness and intention — new places to see, quiet moments to connect, things that made me feel seen and loved. That trip deepened what was already budding into something rare and special.

Throughout all this, I discovered just how sweet and big his heart is. He never meets a stranger — everyone around him feels welcomed, valued, known. His kindness, genuine warmth, and that generous spirit made me fall for him more and more.

Then came March 23, 2024. That’s the day he asked me to marry him. That moment — the place, the words, the feelings — everything felt like it had led up to it. When I said yes, it felt like the most natural, beautiful step forward in our story.

Looking back now, I see that night in March 2022, the first dates, our friendship forming, the birthday trip, all those small moments — they wove together into this path that brought us to March 23, 2024. I’m so grateful for every part of that journey, for him, and for the life we will build together from here.
